About TorqueLoads

TorqueLoads is a truck dispatch service for carriers running 26 ft box trucks and larger. We dispatch 11 equipment types on equal terms, from box trucks and hotshots to reefers, flatbeds and tankers. We find and negotiate loads; the carrier decides every one.

We also publish maintenance guides, spec references and free tools. That can look like an odd mix for a dispatch desk. It is not. Every load decision is also a maintenance decision: a load that pays well but delivers three states from your shop the day your service is due can cost more than it earns. A truck that breaks down on a load loses the repair money and the load. So we plan loads around the truck, and we write down what we know about keeping it running.

We are not affiliated with any truck maker, engine maker, parts supplier or repair shop named in our guides, and we are not a broker, a carrier or a shop. Our income comes from dispatch fees: 4%, 5% or 7% of the gross on loads you haul, depending on your fleet size, equipment and authority age, with no setup fee and no minimums.

02 · THE DESK

How the desk works

Dispatch desk: Mon-Sun, 24/7. We search the load boards and call brokers for your lanes and equipment, run the trip math with empty miles counted, and negotiate the rate and accessorials before a load reaches you.

Then you decide. You say yes, counter or no. On a yes, the broker sends the rate confirmation directly to you to sign. We never book or sign a load for you. The panel shows an EXAMPLE of how a load offer works.

Our service is for trucks with at least 26 ft of cargo space, and we treat all 11 equipment types we cover equally.

03 · THE GUIDES

Who writes and checks the guides

Norman Ford

Author of our guides, references, tools and compliance pages.

Our guides, references, tools and compliance pages are written under the byline of Norman Ford. Facts come from primary sources: federal regulations, inspection criteria, makers' published specifications and published research. Every specific value shows its source and the month we checked it, or is marked as an OEM spec when it varies by maker. Our editorial policy explains the method and how to report a correction.

What we will not do

Some promises are common in dispatch and we do not make them. We do not guarantee a number of loads, a weekly gross or a rate per mile, because the market sets those and nobody controls it. We do not publish testimonials, reviews or results we cannot show to be real. We do not book or sign loads for you, and we do not lock you into a long contract. If a load does not clear your floor rate, we tell you, even when passing on it means we earn nothing that day.

Talk to us

You can send a message through our contact page. If you are ready to have a dispatcher look at your truck, the application takes about two minutes.
